Many people are now using the Emerald viewer from GreenLife, which has some neat features that you don't get with the regular SecondLife viewers from Linden Lab. One of the features is that other people can't steal the clothing textures off your avatar. Another is that it tells you what client other avatars are using. If they are using the regular SecondLife viewers, then their nametags appear normal. If they are using another viewer, the name of the viewer appears in parenthesis next to their name. One of our readers sent us the following pic, and wanted to know what viewer this avatar was using.

According to the article on the Alphaville Herald, the LGG proxy server is a disguise for CryoLife, which is one of the viewers that can be used to steal content. The article at the following link explains how someone using CryoLife can change their viewer display name when someone using Emerald detects them.
