MAD HAIR CREATOR, MADDOX DUPONT GETS REALLY MAD


I’m still getting lots of crazy messages and pictures sent in from readers. I really enjoy seeing them and visiting the landmarks you all send. Yesterday I got hit with a LM followed by a pic, followed by a message from the one and only, Maddox DuPont.

I would like to state here and now in public that Maddox is even hotter and more gorgeous when he is angry, although it was not me he was angry with.( Would that even be possible?) Maddox had received a tip off from one of his customers that someone was selling his MAD hair in a store.

Maddox got mad and immediately confronted Rafal Burnstein. Rafal is the owner of The Opium Club and Harrods Store.His profile also says he is the Best Dj in all of Second Life.
Some people reading might say that hair is hair and it’s hard not to copy a certain style. Some might argue and say that it would be too hard for Maddox DuPont to go accusing someone who had perhaps just made the same hairstyle as he did. No, No it gets better than that, Please note Exhibit A.


EXHIBIT A


This is the picture Maddox sent to me, that his informant had sent to him. This image was taken in the Harrods shop that adjoins the aforementioned ‘Retro’ (I mean 'tacky' soooooo 2006) club. To most people it will look like just another hair vendor, but look closely. Now cast your eyes to Exhibit B.

This is a picture that I took last night with my camera, in the Mad Designs Hair Department in Kmadd City. When I saw this my immediate thought was, ‘Are ya kidding me?’ and I think I spat my coffee all over my screen.

When Maddox told me that this person had copied his hair, I thought that the person would at least change the vendor the hair came in--but no, they actually copied the vendor, and kept the Mad logo on it.

During the conversation that Maddox had with Rafal Burnstein about how he came to be in possession of the MAD hair, Rafal’s balls dropped off and he squealed like a piggy. He immediately implemented his ‘friend’ Lukasz Glom and said that this was the person he had received the hair from. Don't you just love SL Best friends?

I am sure both Mr Burnstein and Mr Glom won’t be happy to see their names here in this article. They will join the many who have baked in the spotlight over these last few weeks of naming and shaming. However, I would like to send out a message loud and clear to anyone who doesn’t think they deserve to be named and shamed.
Does anyone realise how hard it is to make sl hair? Do you realise how much time and energy it takes to make anything that looks good in second life?

Being surrounded by so many gifted people has given me a chance to see the creative start their creations. It’s a side of these people that most will never get to see. Most people see a finished product in a store or see a house rezzed and will never have seen the person shedding blood, sweat and tears over it. I am extremely humbled that I have seen these people do this.

I have seen Maddox DuPont in all his creative glory many times. I have seen him before I TP’d off on a date. He will still be standing in the same spot working on the same hair when I return 4 hrs later. I have quietly tip toe’d past him so I don’t disturb him and have stood watching him for a while. I have logged out and came back and he would still be there working on the same hair. So if anyone still wants to complain about our naming and shaming call 1-800IM-NATALIE, Id be more than happy to take off the front of your face.


To end this I decided to pull a little pic out of my scrap book.I wanted to show you all that its not all work and no play for SL’s elite designers. Maddox was too busy to play on the magic carpet with Icemocolo and I. You would have to be mega busy to pass up an opportunity like that.
