I keep reading this over and over. It is the statement issued by Maggie Mahoney and Ocean Bates on the closure of Runway Magazine. I decided I was going to have to go have look for the copyright and trademark information on the Runway name. Big threats, such as the one above should be backed up with a big copyright legal document.

Maybe its just cause I am blonde (lol) that I couldn't find anything, anywhere. Under copyright laws if someone should want to use the name they can, right?
Then just as I was about to give up looking for copyright information on the Runway Logo, Branding and trademark, I found something.

It seems that Maggie Mahoney and Ocean Bates didn't actually own the copyright for the Runway name after all. If your reading this, your going to get a big shock because as a fabulous leaving present and because you decided to split with all the cash, I personally have thought of contacting the real owners of the Runway name.

Then I found this.

It seems there might be some sort of confusion over the name yet again. Is it Runway SL or just Runway? Either way, here is yet another real life Runway Magazine who had their name pinched and someone had the sense to put in this little disclaimer. Not that it means a damn thing, because the mag I saw and the contracts I have say RUNWAY, not RUNWAY SL.

Ok ,so here's the heads up, for anyone who is game enough to touch the RUNWAY name. Miss Mahoney and Mr Bates cant sue anyone for using what was not theirs to use in the first place.
