Costa Rica's January Fashion Show
This past Saturday, January 17, SL's glitteratti congregated once again at the Costa Rica Events sim. This time it was for the January Designer's Showcase. The production was put on by Maggie Mahoney's Runway Productions, and her team of Runway Models, and the designers featured in the show were AlphaMale, Blacklace, Moxie Polano, Earth Stones, Jewelry By Jake, and the RUNWAY debut of Phoenix Rising. Since this was to be the last show before Valentine's Day, "Romance" was chosen as the theme.
Guests arrived at the gatehouse to the Isla de Estilo. To set the mood for the event, a Mediterranean isle was constructed especially for the festivities. Thanks go to Talya Barzane and Felicity Sneerwell for furnishing the interior of the main building.
The extravaganza drew a crowd of not only Costa Rica residents, but people from all over the grid. The fashions featured were for both men and women, and the crowd had a good mix of both sexes, as well. During the show, it was announced that Runway Model Clyde Saunders, who just happened to be modeling in this show, won the AlphaMale model search contest, and everyone squeeled with delight in anticipation of reading the write-up about his winning in that Bible Of Men's Fashion, inVogue Holmes.
After the show, the very sexy and talented Azufr3 ("Abu", as he is called by Marielle Magic) Catteneo spun a few records for us, and SL's glitterati got down and dirty, shakin their thangs to the beats.
I had my chat window minimized for most of the afterparty, so I could take the interface shots without the chat mucking up the pictures, so I really don't know what exactly was going on here. It did appear that people literally were getting down and dirty. Costa Rica Sims CEO Giancarlo Takacs seemed to be doing his "neanderthal in heat" impression, while some of the other attendees seemed to be re-enacting a scene from "Caligula." I can't identify everyone in the dogpile, but it looks like Nardya Rousselot was in there doing some sort of questionable activity.
