Clyde Saunders' 1st Rezday Party: Royals Only, Please
On Saturday, January 3, Clyde Saunders SLelebrated his very first rezday. Clyde has been making a name for himself in SL's fashion industry, thanks to his work both in front of and behind the cameras. Clyde chose the theme himself, and thus was born the very lavish "Princes and Princesses; Royalty Through The Ages" ball.
As befitting of any SecondLife blueblood, the event was held on the new Costa Rica Events sim, which boasts a full 15,000 prims available for event builds. The guests first arrived on the deck of a Spanish galleon, where they were greeted by estate spokesperson and SLupermodel HarMonica Aabye. She instructed them to walk down the gangplank, through the medieval seaside village, and up the mountain to the castle.
Once inside the castle, the guests were then greeted by Sunshine Zhangsun, who is Executive Assistant to the CEO of the Costa Rica Sims. Miss Zhangsun instructed the guests to make their way up the staircase, to a second floor ballroom.
The dancefloor was filled with both residents and non-residents of Costa Rica Sims. Thanks to Clyde's involvement in fashion, the guest list read like a who's who of SL's glitterati. Runway Kidz CEO Summer Deadlight DJ'd the first half of the party, and Costa Rica Sims Estate DJ and Vain Inc.'s People's Choice Award For Best DJ 2008 winner Azufr3 Catteneo took over once Miss Deadlight finished her set.
The very elaborate event was matched in opulence by the very luxurious attire of the guests. Costumes ranged from Ancient Egyptian and Mayan to contemporary European. Prince Saunders himself chose a white costume with royal purple accents, topped with a silver crown.

Me and some guy who tried to pick me up as I was walking up to the castle. I heard he likes hiding in the bushes wearing miniskirts. He wasn't half bad looking, but his English was almost, but not quite, as bad as that idiot who serves as "Editor And Chief" of that pathetic unVogue Homely Avatars blog. I gave him the link for some coupons to Taco Bell and continued on my way.
OK, I know Clyde is a little fuzzy in this shot, but I wanted to have a UI pic in here so people's names could be seen. This party attracted people from all over the grid, who were some of the most recognizeable names in the world of SLociety. Once again, Costa Rica was the place to see and be seen, and if you weren't there, you were somewhere else.
