Ammon Pera Achieves New Level Of Assholiness

I'm sure that, like me, most of you are tired of hearing about the non-event trainwreck that is Ammon Pera. Recently, I have been informed of a couple of situations that Miss Pera has decided to stick her size 16 stiletto into, and she has proceeded to attack some of SL's best artists, Icemocolo and Migi Voom of Muism. Although I can't personally go hunt Miss Pera down in RL and gouge her eyeballs out with a pencil so she can't see her computer screen anymore, I can say a few things to put things into perspective.
One thing that has recently happened is Miss Pera has logged in with her Kian Brimm alt and spammed the Muism group, stating that inVogue Hommes is SL's best and most favorite fashion blog. If this were really the case, it would not be neccessary to do something so retarded and desperate, especially not in a group that she proclaims to be at war with. I myself am a fashion whore, but it's not my number one passion, so when I want fashion information, I click on the .gif you see to the right here, for Mad Image, and find out what SL's real fashion experts have to say. Miss Pera denies that Kian Brimm is her alt, but if that were really the case, why would Kian Brimm be promoting inVogue Hommes like this???
The latest stupid thing Miss Pera has done is accuse Icemocolo Voom of content theft. Mr. Voom has recently released a new pair of boots, with the name, "Pirate Boots", and Miss Pera has written a post on inVogue Hommes that they are a copy of a pair of RL boots, Vivienne Westwood's Pirate Boots. She also included a picture of the RL Vivienne Westwood Pirate Boots.

I googled Vivienne Westwood Pirate Boots myself, and found they come in several different styles. Unless Miss Westwood is like 500 years old, and was alive at the time that swashbuckling pirates plundered ships carrrying gold from the Americas back to Europe, she did not invent pirate boots.

I decided to google just regular ol' "pirate boots", and wasn't really surprised that Vivienne Westwood didn't come up anywhere near the beginning of the search. What did come up first was a company called "PirateMerch.com", and they had this lovely pair of stiletto heeled boots with straps, also called "Pirate Boots."

Although Miss Pera's "inVogue Hommes" is supposed to be a men's fashion blog, she does have ads for women's products on there. One of her advertisers is Stiletto Moody. I don't really know enough about women's RL fashion to be able to say what RL designer made this shoe first, but I do know that the Stiletto Moody store in SL is not the first time this particular shoe design has ever been seen. I also know that Mrs. Rousselot loves wearing a similar pair of shoes from Bax Coen, and I don't think that Bax Coen and Stiletto Moody are currently doing any kind of scratch scratch hiss hiss activities towards each other in regards to who owns the rights to produce this shoe.

Another inVogue advertiser is Jeeper's Creepers, who produces this boot called, "Ughs." Eponymous Trenchmouth has long been known as one of SL's best footwear designers, probably because of his skilled talent for producing products that have a high degree of realism.

I live in Florida, so I don't really know much about boots other than my Doc Martens or Tony Lamas. I googled strap boots just to see what other designers make boots with straps on them, and found this interesting shoe blog. Not only is there a designer with a boot similar to the Westwood pirate boots, but low and behold there is a boot called UGGs. Fancy that. I also see shoe styles on here that are similar to ones that I have seen in SL from designers such as Maitreya, Storm Schmooz and maybe Tesla, but I really don't spend much time shopping for high heels. I'm sure a few of you lady fashionistas can name a few inworld designers who have created shoes similar to ones from Jimmy Choo or Manolo Blahnik.

This is a rack of shoes at the Maitreya mainstore. I found this particular style similar to one or two of the RL styles in the upper pic.

Someone had sent me a pic of Ammon wearing these sandals from Jeeper's Creepers, but I can't find the pic. I don't wear this style in RL, but my Auntie Pedro does have a pair by Kenneth Cole that looks amazingly identical to these ones.

Another famous designer that Miss Pera enjoys glueing her lips to the ass of is Emilia Redgrave. Miss Redgrave better be careful, or she may be the next one that Miss Pera accuses of content theft, for selling this "Brad" skin, which bears a startling resemblance to the RL skin of the RL Brad Pitt.

Another inworld content creator that needs to be careful is Eric Linden, who created this "fern." This particular plant bears an uncanny resemblance to the RL Mother Nature product of the same name.
Just as a way to show what a jackass Miss Pera really is, I thought I would share a photocopy of a notecard that I saved from a while ago. It's been recently reported that Miss Pera has been seen kissing the rear end of Frolic Mills. The rumor is that Frolic is using Miss Pera to help promote the new Gaysands gay club, but most people's reaction is, "Oh, Ammon hangs out there? I wouldn't be caught dead going to that place, then." It's pretty much public knowledge that Ammon is just using Frolic in a desperate attempt to improve her own image.

By accusing Muism of "content theft", because they may have produced designs that are similar to products already seen in RL, Pera totally misses the point of SecondLife. The joy of SL is that anyone can make anything. It's not whether or not a design is totally original, it's how skilled an inworld creator has been in producing something that is beautiful. Maximilian Milosz has long been admired for producing replicas of RL designers Mies Van Der Rohe or Herman Miller. Numerous car designers have received acclaim for producing replicas of RL automobiles.
It is ironic that Ammon Pera accuses a designer of content theft, when Miss Pera herself had to change the name of inVogue Hommes to "inV", because of possible legal troubles with RL publishing giant Conde Nast, who owns the RL Vogue and Vogue Hommes. Miss Pera claims to be an attorney, although her language arts skills belie that claim. Any savvy adult would have thought that any attorney would have seen the problem with using the Vogue name right from the start.
Finally, I would like to point out that RL is not SL. It doesn't matter what there already is in RL, because unless the same creator is making that same product in SL, it's a whole new ball game in the virtual world. All the designers I have mentioned here, from Eric Linden to Emilia Redgrave, are outstanding creators, ones who have inspired all of us to strive to be the the best we can be. It is the hard work of passionate, driven, inspired people like these that makes SL great. As much as Ammon Pera thinks the grid revolves around her, the sad fact is she's just another one of the crazy people that live under the stairs.
P.S. This is for Canterbury Kappler. Canterbury, you can approach me directly about Ammon Pera's name appearing here, and leave Rocco alone. I write my own articles, and Rocco and I are not even on each other's friends' lists. If you have a problem with something I wrote, bring it directly to me, and I will be more than happy to personally kick your ass up and down the grid all by myself, in my lovely boots that are a replica of my RL lovely boots.
