WHO OWNS YOUR INVENTORY? WHO OWNS YOUR SECOND LIFE?
Loads of people have been wondering where the hell I have been, cause I haven’t been getting too much time on the grid. They have been asking what I have been doing or what did I do next, well read on.
People assume Rawly and I plan the things you see in this paper, but that is sometimes not the case. Most of the things you read are spontaneous and the other one won’t have any idea that the other has been in the same place as emmm the other. Omg, even I got confused.
Ok Rawly went to visit the virtual worlds recently, but Rawly had no idea that I was also visiting another grid. What was really weird is that we were probably on that other grid at the same time. I didn’t stay as long as Rawly, my attention span isn’t as good. I figured it looked like Second Life and when I checked the search, it smelt like Second Life. I could still pick out the bastards from the search, that I was hoping I wouldn’t find in this new world. I came to the conclusion that it is just second Life and LL just changed the name cause everyone is buying the e-ticket to another grid. What a perfect way to keep your customers. Make a new grid, change the name of it, but don’t forget to make it really unbelievable unnoticeable. To do this, just keep the format the same, in fact they pushed the boat out and left the sl search there, just so that when your ruthed and poor you can admire what you would have looked like, if only you had stayed in sl.
So who are the people taking that teleport to the other world? Why would you set yourself back into Stone Age second life, to start all over again? Will it be as popular or has virtual living run its course?
During my recent investigations into alternate living on another grid, I found that a lot of people were taking their second Life inventory with them with the help of the Second Inventory thingy that can be bought on sl exchange. There has been a bit of drama surrounding this because lots of people are now furious by what they think is the sudden change in the LL tos. It states in the TOS that everything you buy or own in your inventory is property of LL. Lots of people are pissed off at this because they think that this is something LL has just added recently to the TOS. Sorry peeps but I am a bit of an expert on the TOS as I have read it many times. I like to keep myself updated on a regular basis, just in case there is any sudden changes that would perhaps effect me directly.
I saw that part of the TOS ages ago and I mean ages and ages ago.
The questions on everyone’s lips now as they think about moving to another world are, who owns the inventory? Who owns the other grids and other worlds we are thinking of trying out?
