KMADD Winter Party: White And Wild Rice

On Sunday, December 21, KMADD hosted their Winter Party, at the Costa Rica Events sim. The theme was "traditional Japanese", and represented a refreshing break from all the typical Yuletide cliche's. The guests seemed to enjoy wearing the elaborate costumes of the dress code, and latino heartthrob DJ Azufr3 Catteneo provided the jams for the first portion of the event.
Usually it's Maddox who is being the prim whore when it comes to his attire, but this time I think Kirk out-whored Maddox in the prim whore category.

The guests arrived at the sim at the top of a mountain, and made their way down a path to a valley, where the party was held on a lake of ice in a historic Japanese village.

The party quickly reached full capacity, and the avatar limit in the sim was set at 100. Despite the high number of guests, the sim did not crash once.

Despite the lag, I managed to get a few decent shots of the guests. There seemed to be no end to the combinations of textures and styles, and everyone seemed to present the epitome of traditional Japanese refinement.

A seasoned veteran of KMADD events, Risa Bright started off her evening in this elaborate costume, but later pared it down to something simpler.

Me (duh), Fann Hyun, and Willamina Fitzgerald shaking our bedonka-donksans.
KMADD stylist Volcom Praga kept his wig simple, while LaBella Forcella's pagoda beehive took wig design in the completely opposite direction.

KMADD stylist, and notorious closet case, Aldero Akami and his "girlfriend" Lyra Nitely.

OK, I already have a pic of Fann, but I liked this pic, and good pics at a 100 avatar party are like a miracle from Gawd.

You rarely see Natalie and I together in pics at parties. I don't think she grasps the concept of being as close to me as possible, and facing the same direction. I finally managed to maneuver myself into position for a pic, but she was utterly disgusted that someone was wearing a bamboo log on their head at this particular moment.
Lenny Beck took over the decks after DJ Azu's set, and Gahum Riptide was the builder of the Japanese buildings. Also credited with the construction of the sim were Kirk, Eve Petlyakov (prolly spelled that wrong but....you know....sorry Eve), Maddox, and that most delicate lotus blossom, Aldero.
