No, I am not talking about the much anticipated X4 flexi sculptie penis. This tool I am talking about is one that I am sure everyone can use. It is just a tad bit pricey, so it probably will not be finding its way into the inventories of noobs, cheapskates, freebie junkies, and NPI (no payment info) alts.

With all the buzz about "alts" lately, I thought that maybe I might like to get one or twelve of my own. Not really knowing how to get an alt, I thought shopping for one on the website formerly known as SL Exchange, but now known as XStreet, would be a good place to start. I entered "alt" in the search bar, and this is what I found.



Like most people, I used to look for certain things to determine if I was encountering an alt, but this was not always reliable. Were they NPI? Were they older than a noob but still looked like a noob? Were they a noob but already looked like a model? Did someone who was just a few hours old "accidentally" land at my TP spot at my remote location? The answers to these questions were frequently "yes", but there was only one way to be sure.

Alt Busters is a hud. The ad claims it works anywhere, even in locations that are build and script disabled. The way it works is by acquiring the IP address of the person you wish to investigate. Once it gets the address, you get a system message saying that the address has been found. By clicking the "get alts" button, it then gives you a list of all the other accounts that have ever logged in with that exact IP address. It's probably not 100% reliable, however, as people who live together in RL and share computers and passwords will register as being just one person.

Not knowing if it was worth the L$11k asking price, I read some of the customer testimonials. I'll copy and paste them here, instead of doing a screen shot, just so you can read them yourselves. (I'lll edit the last names just so they don't get harrassed by alts, but then they will know who the alts are, but I'll still blank out part of the names):

Natalie and I have actually had this product for a while, but we've had so much fun laughing at people behind their backs that I almost feel bad about spoiling the fun.
