Hollywood Gestures Grand Opening Party; The Daft Punk Event

On Saturday, the 27th, Hollywood Gestures had its grand opening celebration. It was put on by Studio Red, and the theme was Daft Punk. Pharen Digital provided the helmets for the party goers, as well as the other accessories, and I would like to thank him personally for doing something special for me, thanks to Studio Red CEO Xochi Tolsen setting up a private appointment for me with him. DJs Kromus Korobase and Azufr3 Catteneo provided the music, and Maddox DuPont was the builder of the venue.

I think most people make it a point to attend any event where Maddox is the builder, if nothing else just to marvel at his creative vision. I think the man has finally lost his mind. The event was on two sims, and he actually textured the both of them to coordinate with the rest of the design. Mr. DuPont, you are not a well avatar.

This is the "close-up" (somewhat) shot of the dancefloor(s). It didn't seem like many people were there, because the venue was so big, but the mini-map showed a packed house. I had checked the map a few times, and there were over 100 people there total throughout the event.
Sadly, these are the only pictures I got from the event. I was having my own personal crash-a-thon, but every time I relogged, I got several notifications of people logging back in that were at the party, also, so it must have been going around. This was not a good SL day, as inventories were slow and things were taking forever to rez.

There is another use for the helmet. After my personal customization appointment with Pharen Digital, Queenie Ella (in the rollers), Sabein Streeter, and Harmonica Aabye stopped by the house, and Queenie, the lover of all that is pink, wanted to drive the Cadillac. We saw that a certain CEO was offline, and there wasn't anybody in the shopping district, so we snuck downtown and had an impromptu driving lesson.

Queenie insisted I remove the helmet, as it made her look bad, and then proceeded to drive on every surface but the actual road. If you see her behind the wheel, make sure you stand in the middle of the road, where you will be safe.Labels: rawly, society
