The Great Dreamland Exodus
All good things eventually come to an end and so the demise of Anshe Chung. Anshe was the reason I discovered Secondlife. Branded the first Secondlife Millionaire and touted world over it wasn't long before things came to a crashing halt.
When I first purchased land it was in Dreamland Pride. All my friends lived there so naturally I wanted to as well. These were the heady days of land sales, when you eagerly awaited new Sims being added because they sold out almost before they were rezzed and made available.
I made wonderful friends amongst the Angels team. But for me working as an Angel was way to time consuming and didn't permit me the freedom I enjoyed. The idea of being on call 24/7 for little pay wasn’t my idea of fun.

Anshe then got a little greedy. Land started selling for $10,000L per 1024 and then their tier system changed. Tiers increased, rentals stopped, joining and splitting parcels was a thing of the past. It was then that I predicted the demise of the self proclaimed "Everyone’s favourite land baroness", who by this stage had all but disappeared out of the game and operations were being steered by her husband Guni.
Master Quattro was unceremoniously sacked and replaced with the ineffective and conniving Carcinia Polano and her protégé "Land Sale with hand relief" Lexi Lock. The downhill slide gathered momentum.
Today a quick look over the Dreamland map its a sea of yellow. Parcels and Sims for sale left right and centre. The end is nearer than people think.
It has been reported that islands are being sold by Dreamland, estate rights transferred and tenants are either being asked to relocate or simply losing their land (and investments) in the process.
So as one chapter closes other ones will invariably begin. Estates such as the Costa Rica Sims owned by Giancarlo Takacs are at the other end of the spectrum. Well managed estates with a community focus and great amenities are the future of land sales in Secondlife.
Now is the best time to leave Dreamland. Sell while you still can and move on without losing everything you worked so hard to establish. Remember you can sell your land back to Dreamland and get 50% of the selling price of the land. Beats getting nothing.
