NEW VACATION OPPORTUNITY IN SECOND LIFE
I heard a rumor a few weeks ago, that second life had been sold or was in the middle of it. There no specifics on who it was going to sold to. I thought it was just another one of those second life rumors that of course, no one starts, cause no one gossips in Sl.....everyone is an angel, except me.
I went out investigating and asked about this rumor, but anyone who would have known anything, didn't know a thing.
Today I noticed on the Linden blog, that some of the " LL and IBM Scientists" have managed to make it possible to teleport to an open sim, outside second life. I watched the brilliant little sl video and I was a bit stunned because while it was entertaining, there didn't seem to be a point to it. The question would be, why would we need to tp to another grid outside second life?
It seems the answer to this question is, that it would enable us to travel to other virtual worlds, thus opening the possibility for second life vacations to other fun places and for the others to come to us.....or is it that we are to be sold.
Personally, I don't really care that much, but while watching the video and listening to the commentary on the giant leap for the avatar to the new grid, outside our world I nearly fell off my seat with shock.
The idea of taking myself to explore other worlds, had got me all excited. The opportunity to go and annoy the hell outta people I didn't know, was a wonderful thought, then the bombshell was dropped.
You see you can go, but ya cant take your stuff. That's right, you cant take your inventory, which means for me I cant take my dresses and shoes.....which means, I wouldn't be setting one foot outside my grid.
What was worse and made me choke on my Frostie's, was that nothing that you wear at the time can go either, so you appear Ruthed to the new world.(OH THE SHAME)
