HAPPY BIRTHDAY SECOND LIFE...HAVE YOU WENT TO PARTAY YET?
Its been shoved in your face, every time your waiting to log in, so don't even try and say you didn't know that it was Second Life's, Fifth birthday.
As soon as I saw it, my immediate thought was, doesn't time fly when your having . I can remember it only being like yesterday since the last one. Then I thought, Oh no, I'm maybe gonna have to go back and fight my way through the lag on the birthday Sims, just in case I miss something brill and spectacular-then I remembered last year and I just knew, there might be a strong possibility that nothing brill or spectacular would be happening.
I do spend a lot of time talking to those who are in the sl media business and they all wondered why I hadn't wrote about the sl birthday, so I thought id tp over and see what was happening, just in case any of my readers, wanted to know what the most exciting thing was.
I didn't have as much lag as I did last year and there wasn't as many dorky noobs running about but I did notice, that there was this whole exhibition thing going on. The only way I can explain it, is like being in a big sl shopping mall and seeing something you might want to buy but when you click it, you cant. This exhibit did catch my eye and totally cracked me up because I was under the impression, that it was against TOS to spy on people....maybe in wrong.
I wandered though the pretty gardens, saw some badly, built structures, clicked on some giant prim pandas, in hope they would do something to mentally stimulate me. Nah, but it was still fun just to look-maybe next year, we might have movement.
Just when I was about to give up and realise that this place, just wasn't for me, I was surrounded by the sl paparazzi.
Wow, OK well, they were cut out people, but it was still fun-for like 5 seconds.
Anyway, if you want to get in the slb5 party mood, I suggest you go get a bottle of Smirnoff in ya first, then off you go.....Have fun!
