There comes a time, in the second life of some people, when they just go a bit too far with the drama and they get that email from Linden Labs. Its a message that tells you, that while it is your world and your imagination, that whatever it is you have done or said, you got a bit too imaginative and its time for you to settle down.
I regularly like to read the official sl police blotter, just to see what badness has been going on in sl, and this morning I saw this one. Usually, its all very boring and its always disturbing the peace, spamming, prim littering or tree branches over hanging on someone else's land, this one however, grabbed my attention.
How is it possible to abuse the teleport system?
Does this mean that the person teleported too much?
I decided to investigate this matter and soon found out that it looked like the perpetrator of this crime, had decided to get alts and lock down a Sim. He or she created so many alts, that no one else had access to the area, thus creating a problem teleporting and our poor teleport system got abused.
It all sounds very straight forward, but is it possible to create so many alts and place them all in the one place, at the one time? I mean, how many computers would be needed and why did this person go to such lenghts, to create such havoc?
I decided to grab my camera and gently caress the teleport system, over to the scene of this crime. I couldn't, as it didn't give me a region, so I don't know where this took place. If anyone can shed any light on this, please drop me an IM.
