CULT CULTURE IN SECOND LIFE....ARE YOU BEING BRAINWASHED YET DON'T REALISE IT?
I am always very wary of those around me, some call it paranoia, I call it being careful. There is one thing I cant tolerate and its people becoming too big for there boots. Its all very well to be successful in sl, but what lenghts do some people go to, to achieve this.
I am all for the fact, that you should never think that there is not someone smarter than you and that you shouldn't give anyone bricks to throw at you. Some people don't think like this, they don't think outside the box they have created and they don't realise that someone could with one paragraph wreck their sl.
I know lots of sl celebrities and a lot of them are brill characters, who wouldn't do anyone real harm. I know the ones who don't speak to me and that's fine, they don't amuse me. The ones who I focus my attention on, are the ones who I know don't like me one bit, yet they are of the same mindset as me. They have chosen to keep their enemy close, probably to keep an eye on what I am doing.
In sl, its hard to do that, but if I was gonna blatantly lie to people to make money, I would make DAMN sure I had all corners covered and I definitely wouldn't piss off sneaky journalists like me.
I have spent a lot of time investigating this area of Fraudulent Activity in Second Life. I know there is people cashing in on race, religion and sexual preference. There is people who are forming what can only be described as virtual cults, to attract those who strive to be part of something. They prey on the weak and vulnerable, they seek out those who need gratification to learn their self worth and they shower them with it.
I have researched this in sl and I wondered if it was just me who had noticed this type of deception or was it true, that people where brainwashed and had just never looked outside the box.
Lets not forget, that we are seated in front of a screen and that there is nothing that you cant be in sl, if you put your mind to it.It seems to be tat you must attract the right type of person who is going to believe what they are told. I have heard all manner of things during my time in sl. I have heard people claim to be so huge and successful in rl ,yet I have had their online status monitored. Obviously, I cant be here 24/7 but in the world of sl , we have the round the clock surveillance system (someone in another time zone does it for me while I sleep) and some of these hugely successful people, are here about 16hrs a days, sometimes more.
Perhaps they aren't who they say they are and people are being sucked into the cult culture of second life, by people who are smart and have realised, that by using this ingenious technique they can recruit "followers" and make vast amounts of money.
The technique is very successful and is used by intelligent people all over the world, to prey on the vulnerable. The thing to look for is, Why do these people do what they do in sl? Do they make money ? If they do make money,take the time to do the simple math and work out how much money they are making ?
